This episode of thrifting at the Wheele House, is brought to you by Kijiji and the ReStore!
If you have never checked out a ReStore by Habitat for Humanity, I strongly recommend it.
I always check there first before I head to the Big Box stores for my home improvements.
I found this beaut at the ReStore in west Edmonton.
A Sputnik light fixture, which had a $32 price tag on it.
I almost walked right by it, as it was compactly wrapped and dismantled. I looked at it again, and realized it was a Sputnik light. You can find one like this at Home Depot for $160, so this was a steal!
About 6 weeks ago, I also found these great light fixtures on Kijiji.
It was a box of them for $30 I think (although, it might have been $20, I cannot recall).
There are three types, all pendants: linear, cluster, and two singles.
All of them are original copper with glass frosted shades. They need a good cleaning.
The last time I got this lucky with Kijiji was for this fixture.
As you can see, I put my husband to work - he humoured me by holding them up...
But luckily, he works out.
LMFAO.
See what I did there?
You will just have to stay tuned to see where I end up putting them!
My immediate thought when I first saw this post was damn, Morley ... ! Haha! No lie. But seriously, those are some incredible pendants. Well done you for figuring out that first one was a dissassembled Sputnik.
ReplyDeleteI see what you did there... clever girl. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat catch with the deals. Love hearing about stories like these.
