I found myself with a little bit of time before breakfast, so I went for another walk through the Barnsley historic ruins. The night before was great, but it was even better to walk around and see the grounds in full daylight.
The Barnsley house.
After a quick breakfast of huevos rancheros, we left for another two factory tours.
Those ruins are incredible. They remind me so much of one of the Ottawagian (?) houses you featured some time ago where there was a lot of big beautiful wooden features, glorious transom windows and some brick work behind a behemoth of a staircase (I still think of that house - can you tell?!) They're kept so beautifully, but I can't help but imagine what it would have looked like in its prime.
